Coudersport’s Mason Roessner was voted Northern Allegheny Small School North Division Baseball Most Valuable Player, one of three Falcons to earn all-star honors.
Roessner hit .481 for the Falcons with 21 RBIs. On the mound, he pitched to the tune of a 1.39 ERA in 40 ⅓ innings pitched. He struck out 53, walked 10 and allowed 31 hits.
He was joined on the team by teammates Gavyn Ayers and Owen Deutschlander, who collectively helped lead Coudy to the league title.
Cameron County actually led the way with four selections — Maddox Baughman, Ryan Shaffer, Josh Beer and Jake Narby.
Otto-Eldred also had multiple selections with Manning Splain and Zach Schuessler.
Rounding out the all-stars for the North were Port Allegany’s Nick Wilfong and Smethport’s Brentton McDowell.
In the Small School South, DuBois Central Catholic’s Aiden Snowberger was voted MVP.
The Cardinals, who were knocked out in the first round of the PIAA Class 1A championships after reaching the state championship game in each of the past two seasons (winning in 2022), won the league title.
Snowberger was joined by teammates Brayden Fox, Blake Pisarcik and Carter Himes as all-stars.
Kane had three selections — Dane Anderson, Isaya Miller and Phin Chamberlain.
Elk County Catholic also had multiple all-stars, Colby Nussbaum and Lance O’Neil. Rounding out the all-stars from the South was Johnsonburg’s Luke Zimmerman.
In the Large School Division, DuBois’ Trey Wingard was voted MVP, and joined by teammate Noah Farrell as an all-star.
Punxsutawney, which won the league title, the District 9 Class 3A title and reached the PIAA semifinals, led the way with four selections — Nevin Day, Cooper Hallman, Parker Stahlman and Coy Martino. St. Marys (Ben Reynolds, Lucas Bauer) and Brookville (Jack Pete, Owen Fleming) also had multiple selections, while representing Bradford as an all-star is Talan Reese.
