OLEAN, N.Y. — Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation will hold its second Nonprofit Link and Learn Seminar of the year, “Essentials of Graphic Design and Branding for Nonprofits,” led by digital marketing expert Mark Fischer on Aug. 16.
This session will cover the fundamentals of good graphic design, including key principles of layout, color theory and typography.
Attendees will learn how to enhance their mission and connect with their audience to create cohesive and impactful materials that resonate with supporters and drive engagement.
The session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Laine Place building, 301 N. Union St. in the third-floor Carney Training Room.
With more than a decade of experience at Cutco Corp. as a graphic designer and marketing coordinator, Fischer is a professional dedicated to creating impactful materials and marketing campaigns.
In his role, Fischer focuses on driving customer engagement while ensuring a consistent and recognizable brand presence. Fischer combines creativity with strategic thinking to develop designs that not only capture attention, but also resonate with the target audience and achieve organizational goals.
Fischer has a Bachelor of Science focused in graphic design and digital media from Champlain College.
Prior to his work with Cutco, he was a web support and communications assistant at St. Bonaventure University.

The final session of the year, set for Sept. 6, will focus on Cattaraugus Gives and will be led by Windus and Tyler Veno, CRCF communications and fund development manager and Cattaraugus Gives coordinator.
