McKean County had 4 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, the one of the local counties to see an increase, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported on Friday.
McKean County has a total of 3,759 cases: 2,863 confirmed, 896 probable and 11,166 negative tests.
The case count in Elk, Potter and Cameron counties remained the same.
There are 2,858 total cases in Elk County: 1,575 confirmed, 1,283 probable and 6,501 negative tests; 1,175 in Potter County: 1,028 confirmed, 147 probable and 3,612 negative tests; and 303 in Cameron County: 207 confirmed, 96 probable and 1,082 negative tests.
The number of deaths in the local region held steady on Friday, with 72 in McKean County, 39 in Elk, 23 in Potter and 7 in Cameron.
Across the state there are 1,007 more cases of COVID-19 for a total of 1,200,543. There were 24 new deaths identified in Pennsylvania as of 11:59 p.m. Thursday, bringing the total to 27,187.
The Department of Health reported that 53.1% of Pennsylvanians 18 and older are fully vaccinated, while 57.6% of the state’s entire population has received its first dose.
In Cameron County, 287 people are partially vaccinated and 1,864 are fully vaccinated; in Elk, 1,769 partially and 12,679 fully; in McKean, 8,481 partially and 8,745 fully; and in Potter, 1,329 partially and 3,097 fully.
There are 2 people currently hospitalized in Potter County with COVID-19 and 1 person each hospitalized in Elk and McKean counties.
Statewide, there are 1,152 people hospitalized with the disease, with 289 of those patients in the intensive care unit.
