The number of cases in three local counties went up on Saturday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The department did not have updated information for Sunday.
As of noon on Saturday, Elk County’s total had increased by 6 cases to 105, McKean’s increased 4 to 94 and Potter’s increased 2 to 40 cases. The case count in Cameron County remains at 8.
Elk County has 81 confirmed and 24 probable. The 105 cases are broken down as follows: St. Marys, 33 confirmed and 6 probable; Wilcox, 5 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Ridgway, 16 confirmed and 10 probable; Johnsonburg, 10 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Weedville, 10 confirmed; Benezette, 1-4 confirmed; Kersey, 1-4 confirmed; and Brockport, 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
In McKean County, the 94 cases included 75 confirmed and 19 probable. In Eldred, there were 8 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Port Allegany, 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Smethport, 6 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Lewis Run, 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Mount Jewett, 6 confirmed; Kane, 17 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Bradford, 27 confirmed and 7 probable; and Duke Center, 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
Potter County has 37 confirmed and 3 probable cases. Of the 40 total cases, Shinglehouse has 7 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Coudersport has 16 confirmed; Austin has 1-4 confirmed; Ulysses has 1-4 confirmed; and Harrison Valley has 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
All 8 cases in Cameron County are in Emporium.
There are no new deaths in the local counties.
The Department of Health did not send out a press release with updated statewide information over the weekend.
