Starting today, at the Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibit Center, the exhibit The Golden Cockerel: Costumes from the Sarasota Opera Collection will open.
Explore the story of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s final opera, based on Alexander Pushkin’s 1834 poem, The Tale of the Golden Cockerel through spectacular costumes on loan from Sarasota Opera. The exhibit will include artwork and artifacts related to this magical Russian story about a bumbling king, a magic cockerel, and a war with a mythical kingdom.
