Bradford man jailed for alleged meth sale
A homeless Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly selling methamphetamine near a convenience store in Bradford in 2022.
Jeffrey Mackey, 43, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance, both felonies; possession, a misdemeanor; and criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
According to the criminal complaint, in October 2022, Mackey made plans through a messaging app to sell meth to a confidential informant of the McKean County Drug Task Force. When the two met, Mackey didn’t have the drug, but agreed to get it from someone and contact him when he had it. Mackey then contacted the informant and had him meet near Country Fair. The informant gave Mackey the money, and Mackey left and returned with the meth, the complaint stated.
In 2022, when the complaint was first issued, it noted Mackey was subject to an active warrant for the offense of DUI drugs.
Mackey was arraigned Friday before District Judge Bill Todd and remanded to jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled for Central Court on June 12.
