The local region of Cameron, Elk, McKean and Potter counties has experienced 145 COVID-19 deaths since the discovery of the novel coronavirus.
This is according to the data collected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The four-county region has had 8,183 total cases of the disease.
In McKean County, there have been 3,805 total cases, with 2,901 confirmed cases, 904 probable and 11,281 negative tests. The county has had 72 deaths.
McKean County cases are spread out as follows: Bradford, 1,209 confirmed and 244 probable; Kane, 377 confirmed and 100 probable; Smethport, 349 confirmed and 51 probable; Port Allegany, 278 confirmed and 39 probable; Eldred, 175 confirmed and 42 probable; Lewis Run, 150 confirmed and 336 probable; Mount Jewett, 60 confirmed and 18 probable; Duke Center, 50 confirmed and 9 probable; Rixford, 44 confirmed and 6 probable; Turtlepoint, 30 confirmed and 5 probable; Rew, 28 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Derrick City, 23 confirmed and 5 probable; Cyclone, 22 confirmed and 9 probable; Gifford, 17 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Crosby, 10 confirmed and 1-4 probable; and Ludlow, 9 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
Elk County has had 2,868 total cases with 1,581 confirmed cases, 1,287 probable cases and 6,650 negative tests. There have been 41 deaths.
Cases are spread out in the following Elk County locations: St. Marys, 666 confirmed and 552 probable; Ridgway, 367 confirmed and 203 probable; Johnsonburg, 170 confirmed and 98 probable; Kersey, 117 confirmed and 125 probable; Weedville, 88 confirmed and 60 probable; Brockport, 50 confirmed and 41 probable; Wilcox, 49 confirmed and 47 probable; Byrnedale, 10 confirmed and 7 probable; James City and Benezette, each 9 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
In Potter County, there have been 1,203 cases. This includes 1,048 confirmed cases and 155 probable. There have been 3,659 negative tests and 25 deaths.
Potter County cases of COVID-19 were distributed as follows: Coudersport, 423 confirmed and 54 probable; Shinglehouse, 218 confirmed and 51 probable; Galeton, 81 confirmed and 13 probable; Austin, 66 confirmed and 23 probable; Genesee (16923), 79 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Roulette, 72 confirmed and 7 probable; Ulysses, 62 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Harrison Valley, 34 confirmed and 6 probable; Mills, 9 confirmed and 1-4 probable; Cross Fork, 5 confirmed and 1-4 probable; and Genesee (16941), 1-4 confirmed.
Cameron County has had 307 total cases. There have been 211 confirmed cases and 96 probable. The county has had 1,112 negative tests and 7 deaths.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 184 confirmed cases and 83 probable; Sinnemahoning, 12 confirmed and 1-4 probable; and Driftwood, 8 confirmed and 1-4 probable.
Regarding vaccines, there are 8,177 partially and 9,936 fully vaccinated people in McKean County, according to the Department of Health.
Elk County has 1,616 partially and 13,211 fully vaccinated people Potter County, 1,297 partially and 3,733 fully; and Cameron County, 250 partially and 1,940 fully.
Two people are hospitalized in Potter County with COVID-19. There are no people in the ICU with COVID-19 in the local area.
