A total of 58 additional cases of COVID-19 were reported for the region as of Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
There were 30 additional cases of COVID-19 reported Friday in McKean County, for a total of 2,379 — 1,870 confirmed and 509 probable, with 8,644 negative tests.
Elk County had 21 additional cases for 2,031 total — 1,113 confirmed, 918 probable and 4,883 negative tests.
Potter County had 4 additional cases for 791 total — 695 confirmed, 96 probable and 2,805 negative tests.
Cameron County had 3 additional cases for a total of 224 —157 confirmed, 67 probable and 842 negative tests.
None of the local counties reported any new deaths on Friday. In the state, there were 193 new deaths for a total of 20,321.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported there were 5,338 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 794,172.
There were 13 additional cases in Bradford, for a total of 752 confirmed and 147 probable; Smethport, 3 more for 257 confirmed, 32 probable; Kane, 5 more, 270 confirmed, 69 probable; Eldred, 6 more, 107 confirmed, 19 probable; Lewis Run, 1 more, 86 confirmed, 169 probable; and Cyclone, one more, 17 confirmed, 8 probable.
In Elk County, all of the additional cases were in St. Marys, where the number of confirmed cases was 503, and probable cases, 388.
In Potter County, the additional cases were in Coudersport, where the numbers reported were 276 confirmed and 46 probable.
All of the additional cases in Cameron County were in Emporium, for 137 confirmed and 55 probable.
The health department noted that as of Friday, there were 4,758 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 851 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
There were two patients hospitalized in McKean County for COVID-19, one in Elk County, seven in Potter County with two in intensive care.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 60,899 resident cases of COVID-19, and 11,425 cases among employees, for a total of 72,324 at 1,528 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of our total deaths, 10,212 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
In McKean County, nine facilities reported 340 cases of COVID-19 among residents, 95 among staff and 30 deaths. Elk County had three facilities report 113 cases among residents, 49among staff and seven deaths. Potter County had three facilities reporting 35 cases among residents and 15 among staff. In Cameron County, one facility reported 33 cases among staff, 9 among residents and one death.
