Open Arms Church of Bradford is launching a second bus run on Sundays, starting Oct. 6, prompted by the church’s growing attendance.
“Over the summer, the number of people riding our bus has grown to capacity. In order to accommodate everyone, adding an additional route made the most sense,” said Matthew Teribery, bus ministry coordinator at Open Arms.
The bus will transport people to the church at Save A Lot at 75 Forman St. at 7:40 a.m. and 10:40 a.m.; University of Pittsburgh at Bradford police station at 300 Campus Drive, 7:50 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.; bus stop at Barbour Street public housing near the VFW Bradford Post 212, 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Marilyn Horne Hall on Marilyn Horne Way, 8:05 a.m. and 11:05 a.m.; Tops parking lot at 150 E. Main St., 8:10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m.; and Togi’s Sub Station at 402 E. Main St., 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Open Arms averaged 360 people attending from June through August and has averaged 379 people this month, hitting 435 people on Sept. 15. Services are held at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at 1289 E. Main St. in Foster Township, about a mile past Walmart.
