The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center (BCPAC), in partnership with Beefeaters Restaurant has announced the return of the Tuesday Tribute Concert Series starting in the summer of 2019.
All performances will be held at the Bromeley Family Theater on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. There will be one show every Tuesday from July 16 to Aug. 13.
BCPAC director Lauren Marshall expressed her excitement about the series.
“We have spent many hours selecting just the right performers to impress our patrons and attract new audiences. This year’s lineup features some of Rock-n-Roll’s greatest names and is sure to appeal to all age groups.”
Kicking off the series is “King Creole – The Champion Elvis Tribute” on July 16, starring award-winning performer Matt Cage. Cage has performed in “Las Vegas in All Shook Up: A Tribute to the King” at the Strip’s famed Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, and the play “Million Dollar Quartet”.
Following the kick-off performance is “Beatlemagic – The Ultimate Beatles Tribute Band” on July 23. Formed in 1999 in Western New York, Beatlemagic is currently the most sought-after Beatles tribute band on the East Coast.
On July 30, BCPAC presents “Aeroforce – A Tribute to Aerosmith.” The group has toured across Canada and the Eastern United States, performing at festivals and shows with some of the most recognized musicians performing today. The record company, which represents the original “Aerosmith,” has hired the band to perform during official CD releases.
The series continues Aug. 6 with “Blue Morning – Recreating the Music of Foreigner.” Formed in Warren, with recruits from around the region, this band has assembled a set of songs that includes not only the best of “Foreigner,” but other popular Rock favorites that are sure to be a hit with the audience.
The series finale on Aug. 13 will feature “The Best of American Graffiti.” This theatrical show containing Rock hits from the 50s through the 60s features Bradford’s favorite tribute singer, Gavin Rousseau, who has performed annually in BCPAC’s summer series as part of tributes to “The Beach Boys.” “Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons” and most recently as Buddy Holly.
