The McKean County Arts Council wants to include area residents in its next art
show during the Bradford Winter Wine Walk from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8.
The Arts Council is seeking winter-themed photographs, paintings, fiber art, poetry, ceramics and other art to display at the Old Post Office during the Winter Wine Walk.
Organizers said participants do not have to be professional artists to submit a piece of artwork for the show.
The winter-themed work can be anything from pictures of kids playing in the snow to a landscape featuring leafless trees or vintage photos of cars covered to the roofs during snow storms.
Other artwork should have a winter “feel” to them, comprising snowflakes or mittens on a piece of pottery, for example. Organizers ask that no holiday-themed work be submitted. People from anywhere in McKean County are encouraged to participate.
Individuals may drop off their art at the Arts Council office in the Old Post Office at 80 E. Corydon St. in Bradford from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today or from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 17.
Those who have business cards may bring some to be displayed with their work.
If participants are unable to drop their art off on the above mentioned dates, they are asked to contact chairperson Anne Holliday at 1490news@gmail.com or call (715) 347-7004 for more information.
