Miranda Collingwood, financial advisor with Northwest Advisors, will give a series of talks at the Bradford Area Public Library.
The Money Matters program will meet the third Monday of every month starting Monday, May 21 and continuing through Aug. 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The series will cover financial topics relating to money management, investing, protecting your wealth and talking to children about money. Northwest Savings Bank will sponsor this series. The program is free and open to the public.
The first seminar will be Money Management and Budgeting for Women. For many women, balancing the responsibilities related to work, family life and money is challenging. This seminar will help you to focus on what’s important and how to improve the balance in your life. Since personal financial habits play a major role in successfully reaching that goal, three solid financial habits are discussed in detail: Determining your financial well-being score; reviewing personal finances; and keeping big goals on track.
The seminar on June 18th will cover saving and investing.
On July 16th the library will offer a panel discussion about the expenses of long-term care and how to protect your wealth. The panelists will consist of a representative from the Ecumenical Home and an estate attorney as well as Miranda Collingwood.
The final seminar on August 20th will provide helpful tips on talking to your children about money.
The Bradford Area Library, in partnership with Northwest Savings Bank wants to help educate our community to make informed decisions about their finances because Money Matters.
