SOLICITATION NO. 2026-006
Sealed Bids will be received by the MCKEAN COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY (MCHA), 415 West Main Street, Smethport, PA 16749, on or before Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. prevailing time in the Administration Offices, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read, for the following CONTRACT WORK PROJECT:
PHASE I
PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
CONTRACT NO. 2026-006
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 AM prevailing time at the MCHA Office located at 415 West Main Street, Smethport, PA 16749. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
The Scope of Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, full-depth asphalt replacement, milling and wearing course overlay, construction of new concrete curb, vegetative stabilization, seal-coating, paint line markings, handicap parking signage and erosion control measures. The work is located at six (6) parking lot areas in Lewis Run, Eldred. and Port Allegany.
All bids shall conform to the Contract Documents prepared by The EADS Group, Inc. and dated March 2026. Contractors may obtain the contract documents in electronic format from the MCHA Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. To access the documents, the bidder must have a valid email address and will require an internet connection. All addenda, if applicable, will be issued electronically.
All Contractors submitting a bid for this project must obtain the documents from MCHA in order to be registered to receive addenda and notices. Contact Anita Holman at procurement@mcrha.org to obtain documents. Questions are to be submitted in writing to procurement@mcrha.org.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check made payable to McKean
County Housing Authority in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. In the event the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, a time extension may be granted by mutual agreement between the Owner and the selected Bidders.
The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or portions thereof, or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
