    Big 30 adds 10 names in latest roster expansion

    The Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic announced its latest player additions for the 2024 game.

    Five players from both Pennsylvania and New York were added, including three players from Eisenhower and two from Southwestern High School.

    Player profiles can be seen below.

    Jesop FarabaughCameron County

    High School

    Height: 6’0” —

    Weight: 215 Lbs.

    Offense: T — Defense: E

    Jesop plans to enter the workforce until he reaches the age to apply for the Pennsylvania State Police academy. His academic accomplishments include induction into the National Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. Athletically, he was named D-9 Region 3 Offensive Lineman of the Year winner, Big 30 12th man Scholarship winner, The John Simon Award, and the Tom Malizia 54 Award Winner. He wants to play in the Big30 game because it will be an honor to represent the state of Pennsylvania in this annual tradition as the last football game of his career. His favorite memory playing football was beating Coudersport to end a Cameron County losing streak. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. His favorite NFL team is the Seattle Seahawks and his favorite player is Trent Williams.

    Tucker LindellEisenhower

    Middle High School

    Height: 5’9” —

    Weight: 165 Lbs.

    Offense: RB — Defense: LB

    Tucker plans to attend SLTC Lineman School and make an honest living. He is a member of the 2022-23 Pennsylvania All-Academic High School wrestling team, the USMC /NWCA 2023 high school all-America team and the Erie Times all D-10 football team. He is looking forward to playing in the Big 30 Charities Classic and knows it is a big honor and he’d love to put the pads on one more time. His favorite memory was being named Bad Mother Tucker in a news article after setting a school record for longest touchdown run from scrimmage — 99 yards. His hobbies include working on his farm, hunting, anything outdoors and riding his Yamaha Banshee. His favorite NFL team is the Detroit Lions and his favorite player was Dick Butkus.

    Thomas GilmoreElk County Catholic High School

    Height: 6’0” —

    Weight: 178 Lbs.

    Offense: OL —

    Defense: LB

    Thomas plans to attend Penn Tech to pursue a degree in Mechatronics. He is a 2-year letterwinner in baseball and a 3-year letterwinner in football. He has also been an honor roll student, numerous times. He has also received awards in football and baseball and trap. He wants to play in the Big 30 game because he enjoys playing football and the game gives him another opportunity to play the game on a high school level. His best memory was getting to play football with his younger brother. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers with his friends and shooting trap. His favorite football team is Penn State and his favorite player is Jason Kelce.

    Colin SobkowskiEisenhower High School

    Height: 6’2” —

    Weight: 220 Lbs.

    Offense: OT —

    Defense: DL

    Colin plans on attending Penn College and majoring in Architecture. He is looking forward to playing in the Big 30 Game for one more chance to play his favorite sport. His favorite times playing football were snow practices and pre-game Sheetz runs. His hobbies include listening to music like Pantera and working out. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Mike Alstott.

    J.J. DarrEisenhower

    M/S High School

    Height: 5’10” —

    Weight: 215 Lbs.

    Offense: LT —

    Defense: DT

    J.J. plans to attend college and become a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician. He was a 1st Team All-Star at Offensive Tackle and 2nd Team All-Star at Offensive Guard. He says, “It’s an honor and a last chance to throw on the pads and have some fun again.” His best moments playing were beating Reynolds and being in 2D-10 Championship Games. His hobby is working with his hands. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is Troy Polamalu.

    Jon SheldonPine-Valley/Gowanda

    Height: 6’2” — W

    eight: 180 Lbs.

    Offense: WR —

    Defense: CB

    Jon plans to enter the workforce after graduation. In 2023, he was named most improved player and a first-team all-star in football. In 2022, he was named MVP and a first team all-star. In 2023, his team was the Section 6 Champion. Jon is looking forward to playing one last football game. His best memory was his first pick-6 of his senior season at Silver Creek to start the season 1-0. His hobbies include cars and playing basketball with friends. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Christian McCaffrey.

    Harrison EckertFrewsburg

    Height: 6’2” —

    Weight: 215 Lbs.

    Offense: TE —

    Defense: DE

    Harrison plans to attend college and major in Environmental Studies and hopes to play football for his school. Twice, he was his team’s defensive player of the year. He is also a 4-time Scholar Athlete and a Shane Conlan Award winner. He also received the cross-training athletics Big 5 Character Award. Harrison is a member of the National Honor Society. He wants a chance to play against some of the best players in the area and to show what i can do on one of the biggest stages he has ever played on. His best memory playing football was going to the sectional title game last year and winning in double overtime. His hobbies include hiking and doing anything that requires physical activity, especially sports. His favorite NFL team is the San Francisco 49’ers and his favorite player is Nick Bosa.

    Jameson WalshSouthwestern

    Height: 6’0” —

    Weight: 200 Lbs.

    Offense: RB —

    Defense: DE

    Jameson plans to enter the University of Albany to study Business Administration and play baseball for his school. He was selected to the 2nd team all-state, Section VI Class C South 1st team and WNY Athletics Small School 1st Team. He is looking forward to having one last chance to experience high school football. His favorite moments playing football was three straight midget football championships. His hobby is hanging out with friends. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is LeSean McCoy.

    Declan KennedySouthwestern

    High School

    Height: 6’2” —

    Weight: 170 Lbs.

    Offense: WR —

    Defense: CB

    Declan will enter SUNY Cortland with hopes of teaching high school history & coaching track. The Big 30 Game gives him one last chance to play football with the boys he grew up with. His favorite moment playing football was scoring in his last home game against Akron and having 100 yards receiving. Declan loves listening to music and having a little dance. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Stephon Gilmore.

    Noah S. ShenkFranklinville

    Central School

    Height: 5’10” —

    Weight: 150 Lbs.

    Offense: WR —

    Defense: CB

    Noah will attend college and pursue a career in teaching History. He is a member of the National Honor Society and a 1st Team All-Star in football, basketball, and baseball. He says playing in the Big 30 Charities Classic will be the last time ever to put on the pads and it will be a lasting memory. He says: the practices were always fun but leading WNY in interceptions was his favorite memory. His hobbies include playing Guitar, reading, listening to music and sports. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Terrell Owens
