The numbers of cases of COVID-19 are climbing in the region, with more new cases steadily being reported, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
In McKean County, there were six new cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday, for a cumulative total of 8,725 cases. In one week’s time, there were 19 new cases, and in a month’s time, 125 new cases. So far this year, there have been 2,367 new cases.
The percent positivity for July 27 to Aug. 2 was 8.1%, the health department reported.
In Elk County, there were nine new cases as of Tuesday, for a cumulative total of 7,650. In one week’s time, there were 47 new cases, and in a month’s time, 179 new cases. So far this year, there have been 2,264 new cases.

In Potter County, there were four new cases as of Tuesday, for a cumulative total of 3,453 cases. In one week’s time, there were 14 new cases, and in a month’s time, 49 new cases. So far this year, there have been 863 new cases.
The percent positivity for July 27 to Aug. 2 was 22.8%, the health department reported.
Cameron County had one case of COVID-19 on Tuesday for a total of 894 cases. In one week’s time, there were nine new cases, and in a month’s time, 16 new cases. So far this year, there have been 244 new cases of COVID-19.
The percent positivity for July 27 to Aug. 2 was 36.4%, according to the health department.
