KANE — The S. W. Smith Memorial Public Library auction committee met recently to finalize plans for its annual dinner auction. “Clued In: A Mystery Dinner Auction” will be held Oct. 26 at the Star Hose Fire Hall, with doors opening at 4 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite sleuth.
The committee has lots of “mysterious” events planned for this fun-filled evening. As always, there will be food, games, and auctions to benefit the library operating fund.
The Silent Auctions begin closing at 6:15 p.m., dinner will be served at 7 p.m., catered by the Port Freeze, with the live auction following.
Tickets will be available in the near future at the Port Freeze, S. W. Smith Memorial Public Library or any committee member. If you would like tickets or to donate an item for the auction, please contact the library or Mary Burr (814) 598-1982.
Also, the Library would like to announce the Lottery Ticket Board Raffle is back! $300 worth of scratchers and a $50 bill could be yours.
Chances are 3 for $5. Raffle tickets are on sale at the library and the Port Freeze and can also be purchased from Auction Committee members. The winner will be drawn at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library Dinner Auction — you do not have to be present to win.
