Girls Basketball

Otto-Eldred 36, Galeton 7

Otto-Eldred used a 31-point first half to clinch a victory over Galeton Monday, scoring 13 in the first quarter and 18 in the second.

Leading the Lady Terrors were Rayel Hakes (4 points, 3 steals, 5 rebounds); Ayla Van Scoter (7 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds) and Kayla Edminster (3 points, 5 rebounds).

NoPo’s Lilly Steele scored 18 points as Northern Potter claimed a win over Smethport Monday.

Madey McKean keyed Smethport’s offense, scoring 22 of the Lady Hubbers’ 32 points.

Port Allegany 31, Austin 30

Brynn Evens got the go-ahead layup with 30 seconds remaining. She led the Lady Gators with 11 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four blocks. Renner added 13 points, eight boards and five steals.
Leading Austin were Lilly Clinger with 12 points and Cailyn Ogden with 10 tallies.

Port Allegany improves to 3-4 over all, 3-1 in NTL action.

Wrestling

Bradford’s Thompson, Hallock lead at Rambler Duals

Bradford wrestled hard but fell in all four rounds at the Rambler Duals at Erie Cathedral Prep over the weekend.

Leading the Owls were Carson Hallock, who was 6-0 on the day, and Jordan Thompson, who went 4-2 on the day.

In Round 2, Bradford fell to Erie Cathedral Prep with a final score of 45-29. During the match, Thompson wrestled at 172 and won by tech fall over Haleem Leggett (18-3, 2:13), while Hallock won by forfeit at 114.

In Round 3, the final score was 38-31 in favor of Warren.

At 114, Hallock won by tech fall over Dru Abbey (15-0), while at 160, Thompson won by pin over Travis Childress (0:51).

In Round 4, Harbor Creek claimed a 46-17 win over Bradford.

At 172, Thompson won by tech fall over Gavin Zillman (16-0, 4:10), while Hallock pinned Dan Bossart (0:42).

In Round 7, St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute defeated Bradford 41-36.

Hallock at 114 pinned James Gambino, while Thompson won by forfeit at 160.

 

Fretz Wrestling

Fretz 71, Sheffield 6

Fretz won 14 of 15 matches to defeat Sheffield Monday. Leading the Owls with pins were Peyton Simonds, Xavier Drake-Jones, and Jacyon Reid.
