Discover 10 fun facts about this summer’s new FIFA Club World Cup coming to the United States

(BPT) – On June 14, the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™ will kick off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The new tournament is coming to the U.S. and setting the stage for historic matchups between dozens of the world’s most elite club teams that you won’t want to miss.

Read on to learn 10 fun facts that will get you excited to be a part of the FIFA Club World Cup. And don’t forget to secure your tickets for this historic event, starting at just $30, by visiting FIFA.com/Tickets.

    1. The first FIFA men’s club tournament in the U.S. in over three decades

The FIFA Club World Cup — the first FIFA men’s club tournament in the United States in 31 years — will be played in 12 state-of-the-art venues in 11 cities across the country. Host venues include:

    • Atlanta, Georgia (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)
    • Cincinnati, Ohio (TQL Stadium)
    • Charlotte, North Carolina (Bank of America Stadium)
    • Los Angeles, California (Rose Bowl Stadium)
    • Miami, Florida (Hard Rock Stadium)
    • Nashville, Tennessee (GEODIS Park)
    • New York New Jersey (MetLife Stadium)
    • Orlando, Florida (two venues: Camping World Stadium + Inter&Co Stadium)
    • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Lincoln Financial Field)
    • Seattle, Washington (Lumen Field)
    • Washington, D.C. (Audi Field)

    2. For the first time, 32 clubs will face off

The tournament will bring together 32 elite teams from all six confederations. This structure has created epic matchups, including:

    • Juventus versus Manchester City: These two European giants, each with over 125 years of history, create an exciting matchup that sees England and Italy’s finest teams competing for glory. June 26 at Camping World Stadium (Orlando, FL).
    • Real Madrid versus Pachuca: Real Madrid, Europe’s most decorated club, takes on Mexico’s oldest club, Pachuca. June 22 at Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, NC).
    • Bayern Munich versus Boca Juniors: The most successful German club takes on an Argentinian superpower in what will be only their second-ever competitive meeting. June 20 at Hard Rock Stadium (Miami, FL).

    3. It’s a chance to see legends and stars compete in the United States …

The tournament is likely to include Lionel Messi, the FIFA World Cup™ winner in 2022 and one of the greatest to ever play the game.

Then there’s Kylian Mbappé, one of the fastest and most dynamic players on the planet (and also a FIFA World Cup winner in 2018), lighting it up for Real Madrid like Anthony Edwards does for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This is a rare chance to see these legends and superstars play stateside — in competitive matches, not friendlies — to bring home the new, dazzling FIFA Club World Cup trophy.

    4. … and for new talent to cement their greatness

Remember the feeling of catching a band or artist perform live before they got big and started winning Grammys? The FIFA Club World Cup is your golden opportunity to be ahead of the curve and watch the next wave of soccer stars — like Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, Palmeiras’ Estêvão, and River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono — on U.S. soil.

    5. Tickets are helping raise $100 million for education

$1 from every ticket sold to FIFA Club World Cup matches will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The fund is a four-year partnership between FIFA and Global Citizen, the world’s leading international advocacy organization that aims to raise $100 million to provide access to quality education and soccer for children around the globe.

In addition, FIFA will make a legacy contribution of $1 million to each of the 11 cities that will host matches in the tournament, ensuring that the impact of the FIFA Club World Cup will be felt for years to come.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino: “We care about our social role, which is why we are in the process of establishing the FIFA Foundation USA. Also, for the legacy of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, we will contribute USD 1 million to each of the 11 cities that will host matches to support local social projects. This means ideally installing mini pitches and organizing soccer activities with children on these pitches in areas where they are most needed in each city, something that will ensure that the impact of this groundbreaking global tournament will be felt for years to come.”

    6. The most diverse club soccer tournament ever

Imagine hearing an iconic “Olé, Olé, Olé,” or Real Madrid’s “Hala Madrid” echoing through the stadium. With historic teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Flamengo, Borussia Dortmund and more representing 20 countries, expect to see some incredible fanbases in the stadium — each with their own unique traditions, songs and chants.

And with players of 86 different nationalities potentially taking part in the tournament, including players from 25 countries that have never participated in a FIFA World Cup, this is the most expansive, inclusive and diverse club soccer tournament ever.

    7. A new trophy for a new era

For the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup, FIFA partnered with global luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. to create the tournament trophy. This 24-carat gold-plated trophy can transform from a shield into a multifaceted and orbital structure. The trophy features engravings in 13 languages and Braille, with room to engrave the emblems of the winning clubs for 24 editions of the tournament.

    8. adidas created a distinctive match ball for the tournament

A special tournament calls for a special match ball. Through innovation, adidas and FIFA built a ball designed for greater accuracy while paying homage to the U.S. as the host nation by incorporating bold designs celebrating the country’s heritage, including a deconstructed stars and stripes in red, white and blue.

    9. Creating $10 billion in economic activity and over 100,000 jobs

The impact of this tournament could be felt for years. According to a socioeconomic analysis published by FIFA in partnership with the World Trade Organization, the FIFA Club World Cup could help generate $9.6 billion in economic activity and create around 105,000 jobs in the U.S. alone.

    10. More than one way to watch

Are you ready to witness history in the making? A new batch of more affordable match tickets has been released, with some starting at just $30, depending on location and matchup. You can grab tickets for these matches at FIFA.com/Tickets, the official and preferred hub for purchasing FIFA Club World Cup 2025 tickets. If you’re seeking a premium experience, ticket-inclusive hospitality packages are also available at FIFA.com/Hospitality.

If you’re unable to watch the action live from the 12 venues, don’t worry. All tournament fixtures will be live-streamed for free on DAZN.com, bringing the excitement of the first edition of the competition to every football fan worldwide.
