Second Harvest announces new CEO
ERIE — The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania Board of Directors announced Gregory D. Hall as the food bank’s new chief executive officer.
Hall brings more than 10 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining Second Harvest, Hall served as director of business development at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Erie and as chief operating officer at Sarah Reed Children’s Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gannon University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
“I am extremely honored to join Second Harvest Food Bank,” Hall said. “I look forward to building on the incredible framework Karen (Seggi, outgoing CEO) has developed over 35 years of service to Second Harvest. I am excited to drive new growth, with the goal of serving more of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity throughout northwest Pennsylvania.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Greg Hall to the Second Harvest team as our CEO. Greg brings with him a wealth of experience that excites us as to the impact it will have on the mission of the food bank,” said Doug Starr, Second Harvest board president. “We are confident that with Greg’s leadership, the food bank will not just continue but expand its impact on our neighbors and the communities we serve.”
“Greg brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, and I’m confident that, with his guidance, Second Harvest will continue to deepen the impact for our neighbors in need,” said Karen S. Seggi, outgoing CEO. “It has been a privilege to lead this organization and witness its profound influence on our neighbors and the communities we serve. As I transition to my next chapter, I am excited for the future of the Second Harvest.”
