CureMD AI Scribe: Ambient-Powered Charting, Coding, Scheduling & Ordering

    By CureMD Healthcare

NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — In a groundbreaking development for healthcare professionals, CureMD today unveiled its AI Scribe, a fully automated clinical documentation and ordering system that streamlines documentation from start to finish – redefining the future of healthcare delivery. From reviewing patient history to transcribing doctor-patient interactions and scheduling follow-ups, AI Medical Scribe significantly reduces physicians’ time spent on paperwork, allowing them to focus on patient care, enhance clinical outcomes, and re-prioritize the provider-patient relationship. CureMD is bringing AI to more than 40,000 healthcare providers, with early adopters already seeing transformative results.

“The AI Scribe is a leap forward in healthcare automation,” said Bilal Hashmat, CEO and co-founder of CureMD. “Our solution goes a step further by automating charting, coding, scheduling, and ordering—empowering doctors to focus on what they do best: delivering outstanding patient care. This is a game-changer for healthcare professionals, reducing burden and enhancing the patient experience.”

    Leveraging Proprietary Medical Data

Unlike other AI scribes, CureMD’s system is rigorously trained in-house on 27+ years of medical data and context, drawing from millions of real-world clinical notes and conversations for unmatched accuracy. This specialized foundation enables AI Scribe to generate detailed and structured SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) notes, complete with relevant ICD, CPT, and DDID codes for maximum accuracy, compliance, and medical billing.

Once the physician reviews and signs off on these notes, the AI Scribe automatically processes orders for prescriptions, labs, imaging, and referrals—eliminating manual entries that often cause delays and errors. Meanwhile, the platform’s medical dictation feature enables physicians to add supplemental notes during or after patient visits, ensuring documentation flexibility.

    Physician-Centric Design

Developed in close collaboration with practicing physicians, CureMD’s AI Scribe reconciles historical patient data – such as past diagnoses, medications, allergies, and lab results – to produce an up-to-dated encounter record. In doing so, the system mitigates potential gaps in care and enhances documentation quality and competence.

Built on the principles of responsible AI, the Scribe prioritizes patient safety, privacy, and fairness. It ensures robust security and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations, while actively mitigating biases to promote equitable treatment across all patient groups. Additionally, all system interactions are logged for full accountability, with fail-safe mechanisms in place to protect clinical workflows during rare system interruptions.

“At CureMD, we’ve been working on AI for over five years; developing award-winning solutions like disease trajectory, chemotherapy effectiveness, patient cohort builder, and claim denial predictor,” Hashmat added. “Since its soft launch in September, hundreds of physicians have already embraced the system, reporting transformative improvements in documentation speed and quality, heightened patient interactions, and increased reimbursements.”

    Ushering in a New Era

The release of CureMD’s AI Scribe comes at a pivotal time in healthcare, as providers seek innovative solutions to reduce administrative complexities and combat physician burnout. By coupling advanced automation with deep medical expertise, CureMD envisions this technology becoming a turning point for clinicians worldwide.
