DOGS: The National Dog Show Presented by Purina is scheduled to be held Nov. 16 and 17 in Oaks, a suburb of Philadelphia.
See up to 2,000 of the top American Kennel Club sanctioned dogs from across the country. 205 breeds and varieties are eligible to compete for best of Breed, First in Group and the coveted title of Best in Show. Each day brings different competitions and attractions,” the show’s website indicates.
Seven groups contain many breeds of Man’s Best Friend — terrier, toy, working, sporting, hound, non-sporting and herding groups.
Last year a Sealyham Terrier named Stache won Best in Show.

Sunday’s show offers more canine competitions, enhanced athletic dog exhibitions plus family-friendly activities and hands-on fun.

We could never be judges; every dog is a winner in our eyes. Belly rubs and ear scratches all around! We admit to watching this show with our pet pooches in the past, usually on the couch.
