Bradford Area Public Library will host a talk with local author Denise Seagren at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Seagren’s book, “Soldiers of the Forest: A Story of the Civilian Conservation Corps” was released in November. While her book is a work of historical fiction, readers will gain more knowledge about the Civilian Conservation Corps, Chief Cornplanter and stories of hidden Civil War treasure. Seagren’s discussion will include a presentation walking attendees through CCC history, local history, as well as detail the research and corresponding documentation that Seagren unearthed while writing her book.No registration is required.
