    Ten players added to 2024 Big 30 rosters

    The latest additions to the 2024 Big 30 game were announced this week, with five players each from Pennsylvania and New York added to the rosters.

    Details on the players can be seen below:

    Matthew SowaWarren Area High School

    Height: 5’-7” —

    Weight: 160 lbs.

    Offense: WR — Defense: LB

    Matt plans to enter college to pursue a nursing career, get rich, and get married. He is an honor student and the Dragons Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. He is looking to play one last game in his favorite sport. His favorite moment playing football was coming back, after being down by 18 points in the homecoming game, against Oil City and winning in his sophomore year. His hobbies include skiing, playing video games, running, and lifting. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is T.J. Watt.

    Maddox BaughmanCameron County

    School District

    Height: 6’0” —

    Weight: 165 lbs.

    Offense: QB — Defense: FS

    Maddox would like to attend a 4-year school and major in Wildlife Conservation. He was named offensive MVP for football in both his junior and senior years. Throughout his career, he set many records and has been named Player of the Week twice. He is honored to play in the Big 30 Game because it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent his school and football program. His favorite moment playing football was breaking the Cameron County losing streak during his sophomore year against their rival. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and volunteering to help the younger generation. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is Jalen Hurts.

    Tristan DilleySt. Mary’s Area High School

    Height: 5’ 9” —

    Weight: 164 lbs.

    Offense: WR/TE — Defense: LB

    In 2023, Tristan received the Jerry Sain Memorial award. It is also known as the team leadership award. He is playing in the Big 30 Game to get another chance to play one last high school game with friends from his school and other schools in the area. His best football memory was all the time spent playing pee wee football and the bonds it created with his friends and coaches. His hobbies are playing sports, playing video games, and fishing.

    Ryan MasonSmethport Area

    School District

    Height: 6’1” —

    Weight: 170 lbs.

    Offense: RB/WR — Defense: OLB/S

    Ryan is deciding on attending a tech school or entering the workforce after graduation. He was named as a District 9 all-Star defensive back and received a Player of the Game award. Ryan is also an Honor Roll student. He is playing in the Big 30 Game to have one more chance to prove himself. His best memory was playing football with his best friend Noah Lent. His hobbies include hanging with his friends, being active, and watching sports. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is George Pickens.

    Dylan HardwickSheffield Area

    High School

    Height: 6’ —

    Weight: 160 lbs.

    Offense: WR —

    Defense: S/CB

    Dylan plans to study Business/Management in college, make money, and hopefully coach. He is a Merit Honor Roll Student and a Region 3 District 9 All-Star and Tri-Athlete. In addition, he is a 4-year letterwinner in Track, a 2 year letterwinner in basketball, and a 3 year letterwinner in football. He wants to play wide receiver and safety or corner back in the Big 30 Game. His favorite memory playing football was getting an interception and scoring a touchdown on the next play. His hobbies include working out, playing video games, and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is Ja’marr Chase.

    Dalton GibooPioneer Senior High

    Height: 5’10” —

    Weight: 175 lbs.

    Offense: RB/WR — Defense: LB/FS

    Dalton plans to enter college to get a degree in physical education and chase his dream of playing collegiate football. He was a Connolly Cup Finalist, all-state running back, all WNY running back, and Big 30 Athletic Fund Player of the Year. In addition, he was a Scholar Athlete for three years in a row and received the Pioneer Heisman Award. He is looking forward to the Big 30 Game to play one last game with all the seniors from New York. His best memory playing football was his rushing game in the semi-finals against the South Park Sparks, rushing for 291 yards. His hobbies include football, basketball, and more football training. His favorite football team is the Pioneer Panthers and his favorite player is Phoutha Okhamvilaysack.

    Caleb StahlmanFrewsburg

    Central School

    Height: 6’ —

    Weight: 200 lbs.

    Offense: TE —

    Defense: DE

    Caleb plans to play college football and get into coaching. His football awards include the off-season training award in 2021, Player of the Week Award in Week 8 and the Tom Sharp Hard Nose Award in 2022. He was awarded the Blue and Gold Award and most tackles for losses award in 2023. He is looking forward to putting on the pads once more before college and playing with the best. His favorite memory playing football was his scoop of a fumble for a score against Cattaraugus-Little Valley in 2022. His hobbies include working out, working on cars, and umpiring baseball. His favorite NFL team is the Chicago Bears and his favorite player is Tremaine Edmunds.

    Jacob DexterRandolph Central Jr/Sr High School

    Height: 6’1” —

    Weight: 200 lbs.

    Offense: T

    Jacob plans to obtain his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and move out of New York state. He was a trench trophy nominee in 2023 and a member of the National Honor Society. He is looking forward to playing one more game of football before heading off to college. His best memory was winning the Section 6 title in Bills’ stadium for two years in a row. His hobbies include playing videos, cooking, and riding four-wheelers. His favorite NFL team is the Philadelphia Eagles and his favorite player is Josh Allen.

    Devon BishAllegany-Limestone

    Height: 6’1” —

    Weight: 170 lbs.

    Offense: G — Defense: DT/DE/LB

    Devon plans to enter the workforce and, at some point, get into heavy equipment operation. He was a Class C South All League Honorable Mention, 2022 Class C South All League 2nd team Defense, 2022 Allegany-Limestone Player of the Year Award, 2023 Allegany-Limestone Player of the Year Award and 2023 Allegany-Limestone Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. It has been his dream to play in the Big 30 Charities Classic. He has always wanted to step onto the field with the best of the best. He loves this game of football and cannot wait to play one more time. His best memory playing football was going to the championship game in midget league. Devon had an assistant coach who believed in his team and said to them, “Through hard work and determination, you can reach our goals.” His team began to believe, reached the championship game, and won with hard work.

    Jimmy SteppePioneer

    Height: 6’3” —

    Weight: 270 lbs.

    Offense: C —

    Defense: DL

    Jimmy is a Trench Trophy Nominee and was named First Team All-Class 13. He feels privileged to be a part of the Big 30 Game because it seems like a fun way to keep competing. His favorite memory in football was going to the Section 6 championship game — two years in a row. His hobbies include playing cornhole and hanging out with friends. His favorite NFL team is the New York Giants and his favorite player is Saquon Barkley.
