The Kane Area Children’s Museum and the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center (BCPAC) are teaming up for a creative arts workshop for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The theme of the workshop is based around the story of Peter Pan and students will be immersed in creative activities like painting, building a Neverland garden and participating in a shadow play.
They will also receive a free voucher to BCPAC’s all-new Peter Pan and Wendy — Fairy Tales on Ice show at 6:30 p.m. March 20 in the Bradford Area High School Auditorium, and receive a take home activity and coloring book, “The Smile That Changed the World Is Yours.”
The workshops will be held Saturday at St. Bernard’s Auditorium in Bradford, and March 16 at the Chestnut Street Center in Kane. Both workshops will run from 1 to 3 p.m. with open registration, but space is limited to 30 students for each location. The cost is $30 per student.
To register for the Bradford location, sign up at bcpac.com or call (814) 362-2522. To register for the Kane location, contact the Kane Area Chamber of Commerce at (814) 837-6565.
The ice show March 20 is presented by BCPAC, in cooperation with Ice Creative Entertainment, and features Peter Pan and Wendy, in a Broadway-meets-ice show for all ages, bringing live-singing, international champion skaters, with a Cirque on Ice/ Broadway show-style performance. The adventure features magical illusions, special effects, an all-original award-winning soundtrack and jumps, spins and pair lifts. Additional tickets for the show can be purchased at bcpac.com or by calling (814) 362-2522.
