Editor’s note

Due to The Era’s 11 p.m. deadline, the final scores of Thursday evening’s Penn State/Purdue and West Virginia/Pittsburgh football games were not available. As of press time Thursday, Purdue led Penn Statte, 24-21, in the third quarter. West Virginia led Pittsburgh, 31-31, with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
