POLICE SEEK INFORMATION REGARDING STOLEN MOWER
RIDGWAY — The Ridgway Patrol Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched at approximately 9:06 a.m. Aug. 25 to Boot Jack Road in Ridgway Township, Elk County, for a report of a stolen lawn mower.
The investigation revealed a red EX Mark 54-inch zero turn lawn mower, valued at approximately $6,000 was stolen from a garage at Parklawn Memorial Gardens between Aug. 17 and Aug. 25, according to police.

THREE LIFE-FLIGHTED AFTER TWO CAR ACCIDENT
RIDGWAY — The Ridgway Patrol Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched at approximately 9:16 a.m. Aug. 26 to Route 255, Million Dollar Highway in Fox Township, Elk County for a two car accident.
According to state police, a car driven by Janet Pesce, 82, of St. Marys, was traveling south on State Route 255 in the wrong lane of travel when it struck another vehicle, driven by James Wolfe, 84, of St. Marys, in the north bound lane head-on. Pesce and her passenger, as well as Wolfe were removed from the scene by ambulance for suspected injuries and then life flown to medical facilities in Altoona.
The Pennsylvania State Police were assisted on scene by Fox Township and St. Mary’s Ambulances, Fox Township Volunteer Fire Department and D&T Towing.
DRIVER INJURED DURING ACCIDENT IN FOX TOWNSHIP
RIDGWAY — The Ridgway Patrol Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched at approximately 6:47 p.m. Aug. 25 to Shelvey Summit Road in Fox Township, Elk County for a motor vehicle accident.
According to police, Carol Fleming, 69, of Ebensburg, was driving a vehicle north on State Route 948 near Brandy Camp Road when she was blinded by the sun. Fleming then exited the roadway on the right-hand side, her vehicle striking a ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to a suspected electrical issue.
Fleming was injured as a result of the accident and transported from the scene to Penn Highlands Elk for further treatment.
The Pennsylvania State Police were assisted on scene by Fox Township Ambulance, Fox Township Volunteer Fire Department and D&T Towing.
