MAIL MYSTERY: A resident of Bradford Township, Bob Burrell, brought an interesting piece of history into the newsroom Friday — a recently received sealed letter postmarked Hollywood, Calif. 1985.

There were two additional, more recent postmarks on the letter — which is more than likely how Burrell was finally able to receive this mystery letter 37 years later. While he was here, he let us hold it up to the light and try to solve the mystery. From what we could gather, there is a card, possibly a business card, inside. The credentials Ph.D. could be read through the envelope, and the word ROCK was in the presumed name of the company. It also appeared there could be another slip of paper in addition to the card, but it might be folded up.
