MAGAZINE: We received our March-April copy of Pennsylvania Magazine, and were happy to see a beautiful photograph featured as a “Hot Shot: Editor’s Choice II.”

It was a sunrise reflection of a beaver pond along Route 770 near Marshburg, captured by Darwin Martin.

The two-page spread is an image showing the mirrored surface of a pond as it reflects the bare trees and the lovely oranges and reds of the sunrise. The image, from a local photographer, is more than breathtaking, a sunrise you will need to see for yourself.

We’re always happy to see our region pictured in such a beautiful manner in a publication available across the commonwealth.

This is one magazine we look forward to getting in print, delivered every other month. In our opinion, there’s just something about holding the physical magazine in your hands, smelling the ink, feeling the pages and listening to them rustle as they turn. If you really want the experience of seeing the images as you read the stories, then pick up a print edition of the publication.

As hard as it is to do so, we acknowledge that times have changed, and many readers like the convenience of the internet. This magazine’s site is full of the same quality images and writing found throughout the print version.

We promise, you will not be disappointed with either version. The photography is impressive. The stories of Pennsylvania’s history are very interesting and well written.
