    Halloween festivities set

    Communities in the area are planning to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating and a few festive events.

    —— Today ——

    An indoor Trunk-or-Treat event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the B-Free Church on Boylston Street in Bradford. There will be games and prizes, along with a plethora of candy, treats and some full sized candy bars. Guests are encouraged to utilize the back door and park in the Northwest Savings Parking lot.

    Eldred will hold trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

    Port Allegany will hold a trunk or treat from 2 to 4 p.m. in the square.

    Johnsonburg will hold a parade and trunk-or-treat event at the Community Center from 3 to 5 p.m. today and trick-or-treat hours will be from 5 to 7 today.

    The Ridgway Lions Club will hold a parade at 3 p.m. today. Line up is at the Annex on Center Street. The Ridgway Borough will hold trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. today by porchlight invitation only.

    The Roulette Chamber will hold Trunk or Treat from 5 to 6 p.m. and Trick or Treat will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

    Shinglehouse Borough will hold Trick-or-Treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Parents are asked to only take children to visit homes with the light on.

    Trunk-or-Treat will be held at the Coudersport Borough office at 4 p.m. today. Coudersport will hold trick-or-treat hours from 6 p.m. today until lights are shut off. The Coudersport Rotary Club’s annual Halloween parade will be held today, with lineup beginning at 2 p.m. for the parade at 3. Participants should meet outside the Gunzburger building, line up on Water Street, parade up Main Street to 3rd Street and finish at the Coudersport Courthouse Square gazebo for candy and prizes.

    Ulysses will have trunk or treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Old Kountry Market parking lot, sponsored by the Ulysses Area Improvement Association.

    Genesee will hold trick or treat from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

    —— SUNDAY ——

    The City of Bradford will hold trick-or-treating from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween.

    Trunk or Treat will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Bradford from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

    The event, a joint effort with Open Arms Church of Bradford, will be held in Grace Lutheran’s parking lot located at 79 Mechanic St. Guests are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy decorated trunks, games, free hot dogs and water, and, of course, plenty of candy.

    Bradford Township will hold trick-or-treating from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Residents should leave their porch lights on during that time if they are handing out candy.

    Foster Township Trick or Treating will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

    Lewis Run will hold trick-or-treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. There will not be an after-party at the Fire Hall this year. Instead, there will be a Trunk-or-Treat in the fire hall parking lot during trick-or-treat hours.

    The Kane First United Methodist Church at 112 Greeves St. will hold Trunk-or-Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

    Lafayette Township’s Trick-or-Treat hours will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31. Residents are asked to leave their porch lights on if they wish to participate. Participants are encouraged to follow COVID-19 safety measures. The Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will hold a Halloween Drive Thru from 6 to 8 p.m., with candy and prizes for children in costume.

    Mount Jewett Trick-or-Treating hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

    Norwich Township has scheduled Trick or Treat on Sunday, October 31st, from 6-7 p.m.

    The Norwich Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the John Berg

    American Legion Ladies Auxiliary are co-hosting a Halloween Party at the Crosby ball field from 5-6 p.m., also on the 31st.

    Otto Township trick-or -treat hours will remain the same as last year—6 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween. There will also be the Trunk-or-Treat option in the Otto Park during the same hours.

    Port Allegany will hold trick-or-treat hours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

    Smethport trick or treat will be conducted from 6 pm-7:30 pm on Sunday.

    St. Marys will hold trick-or-treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, by porchlight invitation only.

    ——————

    Galeton will hold trick-or-treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

    Hebron Union Church in Coudersport will hold a trunk or treat from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, followed by Awanas from 6 to 7 p.m. with candy, games and Bible lessons.

    In Austin, the volunteer fire department will hold a Halloween contest and parade from 3 to 5 p.m.
