RIDGWAY — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation McKean/Elk County Maintenance announces the following work schedule, beginning today and lasting through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.

The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor, weather permitting:
-Wolyniec Construction Inc.: Benezette Township, State Route 555, over Dents Run. Work will continue formwork and placing rebar for the bridge superstructure. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals, alternating East, and West bound lanes across the temporary roadway.
-Horizon Construction Group: State Route 949, Portland Mills area. Install rebar and forms for closure pours & baffle pours. Complete waterproofing membrane and form and pour Wing extensions.
-IA Construction will be resetting guiderail in McKean County on State Route 6 west of Smethport.
-IA Construction will also be patching the roadway on State Route 219 in McKean County from Lantz Corners to Guffy Road beginning, which began on Aug. 30.
