A yearly Open Garden Walk will take place at Gary Colley and Pat Drummond-Colley’s home from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. this Friday at 34 Cornelius Lane (upper part of Bolivar Drive).
This is the peak blooming time for the red Crocosmia plant that butterflies and hummingbirds love. Perennial plants as well as Pat and her daughter Denise Drummond’s (illustrator) 2012 award winning book “My Grama’s Garden” will be offered for sale.
In March 2021, Pat Colley passed her exam to become a Master Gardener. She will be on hand to talk to persons who may want to ask questions about how to become a Master Gardener or what things she has learned to make her gardens perform better.
After collecting weeping trees, dwarf conifers and perennial plants at her home since 1962, she has many trees over 50 years old that are rare and unusual.
