Coudy boys, girls win NTL Meet

SMETHPORT — Like they had done all year, the Coudersport boys and girls track and field teams continued their dominance — both topping the team standings at Friday’s North Tier League Meet at Smethport.

The Coudersport boys, who captured the NTL regular season title after finishing undefeated, racked up 183.5 points. Smethport (122), Otto-Eldred (105), Port Allegany (58), Sheffield (45.5), Northern Potter (16), Cameron County (10) and Oswayo Valley (9) rounded out the team scoring.

Dalton Keglovits was a quadruple winner for the Falcons on Friday, winning the 400-meter dash and pole vault, while taking part in Coudy’s winning 1600-meter and 3200-meter relay teams. Kevin Sherry was a triple winner, earning first place finishes in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs and was a member of the victorious 3200-meter relay team.

Both Gavyn Ayers and Cale Ayers were double winners for the Falcons. Gavyn Ayers won the 200-meter dash in 23.40 and was on the 1600-meter relay team, while Cale Ayers dominated both the shot put and discus events.

Other multiple winners included Smethport’s Logan Christie, who won the 100-meter dash and helped the Hubbers’ 400-meter relay team to a win. Ryli Burritt was also on that winning 400-meter relay team and also took home victories in the long jump and triple jump.
