RIXFORD — Firefighters from several departments were called to battle a house fire Thursday evening at 1382 Looker Mountain Trail, Rixford.

At 6:29 p.m., the initial report indicated the fire was in the garage, but it was reported about a minute later that the fire had spread into the house.

The following departments were called to the scene: fire departments from Otto Township, Eldred Township, Eldred Borough, Derrick City, Rew and Knapp Creek, N.Y.; along with an Otto Township Ambulance. An engine and crew from Smethport were called to standby at the Eldred Borough station.
