EMPORIUM — Bri Heller took a pass from Katie Sheeler and scored the go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter as Otto-Eldred avenged its only loss of the season so far against Cameron County Thursday, 40-39.
The basket from Heller, who finished with game-high 14 points along with Sheeler, were the Lady Terrors’ lone points of the fourth quarter.
O-E led by double-digits during the third quarter before the Lady Raiders (6-6) stormed back.
Cameron County took the lead late in the fourth with a three-pointer from Reggie Goodrow, before Heller scored what would be the game-winning basket for the Lady Terrors (9-1). The Lady Raiders had an open look at the end, but was unable to convert.
“Another typical Otto-Cameron County hard fought battle,” Cameron County coach Dave Sullivan said. “Both teams left it out on the court.”
Haley Hilfiger scored a game-high 17 points for Cameron County and hauled in nine rebounds, while Kaelee Bresslin finished behind her with 14 points, including three treys.
