Bradford man to face additional rape charge
A Bradford man who was accused of sexually assaulting a minor and running a methamphetamine operation had an additional charge added to his case on Wednesday: rape of a child, a first-degree felony.
Daniel J. Roach, 44, had all 243 charges against him, stemming from two cases, bound to McKean County Court at a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
In one case, he faces 242 felony and misdemeanor charges related to the sexual assault of a child, the delivery of meth and possession of firearm by a minor. In the second case, he faces a single charge of possession of meth.
According to the criminal complaints, between 2016 and 2019, starting when the girl was about 12 years old, Roach was supplying the girl with meth and having sexual intercourse with her.
Additionally, Roach allegedly had the girl help him with his meth operation, packaging and delivering meth and traveling with him to Erie to pick up the drug. On one occasion, he tasked the girl with holding onto a handgun that he bought that he was trying to sell, the complaints stated.
On the day of Roach’s arrest, police found that he was in possession of about 7.5 grams of meth at the time, according to court records.
Roach, who had been incarcerated in lieu of $300,000 bail in the sexual assault case, is now being held without bail in the case.

Bradford man waives indecent assault hearing
A Bradford man accused of having inappropriate contact with a sleeping woman waived a preliminary hearing on Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Kyle J. Everly, 24, of Bradford, is charged with aggravated indecent assault, a first-degree felony; two counts of indecent assault-person unconscious, first-degree misdemeanors; and summary harassment.
The criminal complaint states that on Sept. 28, Everly grabbed a woman’s buttocks at a gathering. Later, she went to sleep on a couch, then awoke to find Everly allegedly inappropriately touching her; she went back to sleep and awoke again because she felt something wet on her shirt and saw Everly standing over her on the couch.
Everly remains in McKean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Charges against Bradford man withdrawn
Criminal charges against a Bradford man accused of assaulting a woman and threatening to kill her had a case against him dropped on Wednesday.
Kenneth A. Pearce, 71, had misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and simple assault against him withdrawn.
Pearce had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
