Two men sentenced for sharing intimate images

SMETHPORT — Two men were sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court for allegations in separate incidents in which they shared intimate images of women with other people.

In one case, James J. Ludwig, 36, of Bradford, was sentenced to 15 months or probation for charges of harassment. On Sept. 17, Ludwig pleaded guilty to allegations that between April 21 and May 18, he sent an intimate image of his ex-girlfriend to her current paramour.

In another case, Jason A. Huss, 24, of Port Allegany, was sentenced to one year of probation for a charge of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image. Also, he will pay $141.30 in restitution for counseling for the victim. Huss pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to allegations that on April 22, he disseminated an intimate of a woman engaged in sexual conduct.

Also in court, Justin M. Gordon, 33, of Port Allegany, was sentenced to 18 months of probation for a charge of simple assault. On Oct. 1, Gordon pleaded no contest to allegations that on March 13, he tried to put his wife in fear of serious bodily injury by putting his arm to her face as she was lying on the couch.

Tasha L. Buterbaugh, 30, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation for a charge of false reports-reported offense that did not occur. Buterbaugh pleaded guilty Oct. 1 to allegations that on March 23, 2019, she reported to law enforcement that an individual nearly hit her and her children when they were crossing the street, which was false.

Allan R. Rose, 38, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of summary harassment. According to Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy, on March 19, 2019, Rose subjected a female to physical contact. He will be sentenced Nov. 19.

Lee A. Baum, 54, of James City, will serve seven days to six months in McKean County Jail with credit for seven days of time served for a charge of DUI-general impairment and a summary charge.

Joel R. Walker, 40, of Bradford, will serve two days to six months in McKean County Jail with a term of restrictive sanctions house arrest for a charge of DUI-general impairment. He will have to pay $502.44 in restitution for damage to a vehicle that was struck, too.

John F. Vail, 22, of Olean, N.Y., will serve four days to six months in McKean County Jail for a DUI-alcohol case.

Michele A. Crawford, 40, of Port Allegany, will serve three days to six months in McKean County Jail with credit for seven days of time served for a charge of DUI-controlled substance and a summary charge.

John-Jay F. Rhodes Jr., 38, of Rixford, will serve six months of probation with a period of restrictive sanctions for a charge of DUI-general impairment and a summary charge.

Michael R. Butters, 33, of Kane, pleaded guilty to a charge of DUI-controlled substance. He will be sentenced Nov. 19.

Frederick W. Russell II, 43, of Olean, N.Y., will serve six months of probation for a charge of DUI-general impairment.
