Leadership McKean’s board of directors announced Friday that Kristin Asinger has been named executive director of the program.
“As Leadership McKean continues to reach its mission of developing informed and involved community leaders, the board of Leadership McKean took the step to search for an executive director. Through the selection process, Kristin’s excitement and experience continued to rise up through our conversations with her. We look forward to furthering the mission of Leadership McKean with Kristin’s leadership,” stated Seth McClymonds, president of Leadership McKean’s board.
Asinger began serving as executive director Sept. 1. Her skills developed through teaching, advising, coordinating events, networking, fundraising and working with local non-profit organizations match very well with the responsibilities and expectations for this position. She is currently the president for both Bradford Little Theatre and McKean County Arts Council. She is passionate about developing potential in others and has excelled at coordinating events and learning opportunities with engaging and influential programming.
Throughout its tremendous 13 year history, Leadership McKean has graduated over 200 alumni from its annual eight-month CORE Program. Additional plans are now in place to develop one-day and half-day key leadership workshops along with personal and professional development sessions to alumni and the broader community.
