Elk County’s COVID-19 case count rose from 60 to 63 with Thursday’s reporting, according to the state health department.
There have been 2,035 negative tests in Elk County so far.
Of the positive cases, 49 have been confirmed and 14 have been probable cases, which are patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
McKean County remained at 34 positive cases, with 25 confirmed and 9 probable cases. There have been 3,522 negative tests.
Potter County’s case count remained at 22, with 19 confirmed cases and 3 probable cases. There have been 911 negative tests.
Cameron County’s count remained the same, with 8 positives. There have been 373 negative tests.
The health department indicated that there were 791 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 126,940. Allegheny County is reporting an increase of 100 cases and Philadelphia County is reporting an increase of 109 cases.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Aug. 13 and Aug. 19 is 161,638 with 5,019 positive cases. There were 22,765 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., August 19. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There are 7,538 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 15 new deaths reported.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 644 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure, which are considered probable cases and not confirmed cases. There are 1,386,071 patients who have tested negative to date.
