No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle crash at approximately 7:50 p.m. Saturday, involving property damage to Thrifty Cleaners at 18 Chambers St.
According to Bradford City Police Officer Richard Obermeyer, an unnamed 19-year-old woman was turning right out of the CNB parking lot on Chambers Street, when her steering wheel locked up due to an equipment failure. Subsequently, the sport utility vehicle struck the front of Thrifty Cleaners, causing damage to the exterior brick, large glass window and foundation. Estimated monetary damage to the building was unknown at press time.
Obermeyer noted that the vehicle received minor damage and was able to be driven home from the scene. Neither the woman nor the juvenile female passenger were injured in the crash.
The woman received a citation for driving without a valid license.
Bradford City Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene.
