RIDGWAY — Needing 11 points to reach his 1,000th career point, Johnsonburg’s Austin Green scored just that amount, a team high, to power the Rams to a 40-32 Allegheny Mountain League win over archrival Ridgway.
Green hit the millennial mark with 1:50 to go in the game.
Garrett Gregori added 10 points for Johnsonburg (7-5, 2-1), which led 13-9 at halftime and 21-14 after the third quarter. Jburg has now won three of its last four games.
Ridgway (7-4, 2-1) was led by Zack Zameroski’s 14 points, as well as Alex Bon’s eight points. Bon hit a pair of treys in the game. Matt Dush added seven for the Elkers, who have lost four out of their last five contests.
Both teams return to action Tuesday, as Jburg hosts Brockway and the skidding Elkers travel to DuBois Central Catholic.

Smethport 42, Otto-Eldred 40
DUKE CENTER — Smethport’s Layne Shall drove to the basket and nailed a shot with less than two seconds to play to send his Hubbers to a dramatic victory over NTL rival O-E.
Shall finished with 10 points, including two 3-pointers, but none were as big as his two tallies to break the 40-40 tie.
Otto-Eldred (6-4, 4-2) was trailing by eight points entering the fourth quarter, but fought back to make it a game. Jake Merry had a game-high 18 points for the Terrors and kept his team in the contest with four 3-pointers.
After a 5-1 start to the season, O-E has dropped three of its last four games.
Richie McDowell was also in double figures for Smethport (5-4, 4-4) which had all five of its starters register at least seven points.

PORT ALLEGANY — Port Allegany’s game against Galeton Friday night turned into the Howie Stuckey show.
The senior guard scored a North Tier League high 45 points this season and added seven rebounds and seven steals to complete one of the best individual performances in District 9 this season.
“Stuckey came out shooting well in the first quarter with four 3-pointers,” Port Allegany coach Kyle Babcock said. “Then he had another one in the second quarter to give him 25 points in the first half. “He was able to get out to a quick start and gave us a spark.”
Stuckey was lights out from beyond the arch with eight three-pointers. Jordan Card added nine points for the Gators (4-7, 3-4).
Ty Stover, Hunter Crowell and Gavin Sykora each scored five points for Galeton (0-11, 0-6).

AUSTIN — Hayden Keck scored 19 points and Kolby VanWhy finished 18 to help Coudersport remain undefeated in the North Tier League and earn its fifth consecutive win.
Dillon Keglovits added eight points for the Falcons (9-2, 7-0), while Keck and VanWhy each brought down eight rebounds.
Jackson Glover led Austin (6-5, 3-4) with 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Skylar Crawford had a team-high nine rebounds and five points.

EMPORIUM — Caden Beldin tied a season-high 26 points en route to a double-double with 11 rebounds, as Cameron County thumped Oswayo Valley Friday evening.
The Red Raiders jumped out to a 20-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Dino Brown led Cameron County (6-2) with 31 points and added four assists. Dylan Guisto finished with eight points and freshman Camdyn Allison tallied four steals.
Noach Wichert paced Oswayo Valley (1-9) with 15 points, while Cadyn Black chipped in with 14. Derrick Bickel had a team-high two 3-pointers.
