The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) is offering a free Jan. 14 contracting chat where an expert panel will help participants learn about the types of government contracting proposals.
The chat, called “Let SBA Help You with That Proposal,” will take place from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 14.
“The federal government is the largest purchaser of goods and services in the entire world, and small business owners need to understand the different types of solicitations to get a piece of that action,” explained SBA Pittsburgh District Director Dr. Kelly Hunt. “Our free chat will discuss an RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ (Request for Quote).”
The interactive, online chat session also addresses where to find solicitations and how to respond and tout one’s business.
“All attendees will learn about free, hands-on assistance in responding to solicitations,” added Hunt. “Our chat provides takeaways that participants can start using immediately.”
Panelists include SBA Business Opportunity Specialist David Pinkosky; JARI Program Manager Lenora Leasure; and Procurement Technical Assistance Center Contract Manager Robyn Young. The SBA’s Janet Heyl serves as host.
