The Visiting Nursing Association of Northwest PA has once again been awarded HomeCare Elite Top 500 status from ABILITY Network and Decision Health.
“The VNA’s national ranking is really a testament to our incredible team,” said Judy Baumgartner, board chairperson of the VNA. “To be consistently recognized with this impressive award for seven years is something to be very proud of.”
The HomeCare Elite is a prestigious award in the home care industry, recognizing agencies that demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and serving as leaders in the home health community. With nearly 9,000 agencies considered, winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures. Five domains of performance were cumulatively analyzed — quality of care, quality improvement and consistency, patient experience (HHCAHPS), best practices implementation and financial performance.
“We’re pleased to recognize the VNA for exemplifying best practice in patient care,” said Christine Lang, senior director for ABILITY Network. “The VNA home health professionals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to care quality and the patient experience.”
The award places the VNA in the top 5% in the country.
