East Smethport man serving prison time for fleeing officer

SMETHPORT — An East Smethport man was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a term in state prison for failing to stop for a police officer.

Austin J. Tankersley, 25, will serve 30 days to one year in prison for a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer. He pleaded guilty Aug. 15 to allegations that on July 12, a Smethport police officer tried to pull Tankersely over near the fairgrounds in Smethport, but Tankersley failed to stop.

Also in court, Robert C. Greene, 26, of Roulette, will serve 45 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 11 days of time served and 23 ½ months of concurrent probation for charges of terroristic threats and simple assault. According to court records filed at the time of Greene’s arrest, in the early morning hours of July 11, he allegedly struck a woman in the face and head several times and told her in a phone call that he would kill her and her entire family.

Artter Hubbart Jr., 51, of Allegany, N.Y., will serve six months to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 13 days of time served and one year of consecutive probation for a charge of unlawful dissemination of intimate image. Court records filed at the time of Hubbart’s arrest alleged that on March 15, 2018, while a woman was at the Bradford City Police Station filling out a statement for a separate offense involving Hubbart, he posted a photograph of her bare buttocks on Facebook and attached her mother to the post.

Steven L. Crabb Jr., 27, of Olean, N.Y., pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and terroristic threats. According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, on Dec. 9, Crabb grabbed a woman’s arm, pushing her through a doorway and threatening to kill her. He will be sentenced Sept. 12.

Kristen M. Stahli, 28, of Hazel Hurst, will serve 14 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 14 days of time served and one year of consecutive probation for charges in two cases. She’s charged in one with receiving stolen property and the other for retail theft. Stahli pleaded guilty July 11 to allegations that on Oct. 25, she received less than $15 worth of candy belonging to Sheetz, and on Dec. 5, she took $67.70 worth of items from Dollar General.

Devon J. Hulings, 28, of Kane, will serve 18 months of probation for a charge of recklessly endangering another person and a summary charge. Kane-based state police reported in the days following the incident that the charges against Hulings stemmed from allegations that took place at 1:21 a.m. Aug. 5, 2018, at a party in Hamilton Township that took place after the Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic.

Robert M. Rand, 62, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of DUI-general impairment and accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property.

Angela L. Haynoski, 31, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-general impairment and summary charges.
