Three people were arraigned for unrelated cases Wednesday and Thursday before District Judge Rich Luther in Foster Township.
Joshua Mark Elliott, 34, of 4 King St., Eldred, was arraigned Wednesday evening on charges of theft, a third-degree felony, and corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, Elliott had a child take an engagement ring from her mother and bring it to him, and he sold it for $275.
At the time of the ring’s original purchase, it sold for $3,079.20, according to the complaint.
Elliott was arraigned and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Sept. 5.
On Thursday afternoon, Theodore Wiltse Jr., 56, of 12 Woodlawn Ave., was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor, and harassment, a third-degree misdemeanor.
At 6:46 p.m. Aug. 15, a female contacted police to report that she had a relationship with Wiltse about eight years earlier, and he was calling and threatening her as well as leaving threatening messages on her voice mail.
Wiltse was released on $5,000 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Sept. 5.
Also on Thursday, Luther arraigned John-Jay Forest Rhodes Jr., 37, of Rixford, on charges of accidents involving injury, a first-degree misdemeanor; accidents involving damage to property, a third-degree misdemeanor; and three traffic summaries.
According to court records, on July 23, Rhodes and his wife, Danielle Rhodes, were each driving separate vehicles and were involved in an intentional crash, and he fled the scene. When he was interviewed later, he admitted to driving one of the vehicles and said he had left the area to stay at a camp. Police found that his license had been suspended related to a prior charge of DUI, the criminal complaint read.
Rhodes was released on $2,500 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Sept. 5.
