BAHS Alumni Association

The Bradford Area High School Alumni Association held its monthly meeting on July 25 at the Model T Inn, with 26 members attending.

Activities and expenses year-to-date were reviewed. So far, member applications and renewals are running ahead of 2018, as are total donations. Banquet invitation packets, which included the spring newsletter and scholar award luncheon press release, were mailed in mid-June. Reservations received in the first month are slightly ahead of past years.

The June scholarship luncheon was well-attended, including by the four 2019 award winners and their guests. Money has been budgeted for the 2020 awards. Based on interest shown through dues and donation activity, the program will continue well into the future.

The Oct. 5 banquet, which is scheduled for the Bradford Club, was discussed, including preliminary plans and members volunteering for assignments. These committee assignments should be finalized at the August meeting, which will be held Aug. 22. A good turnout for the dinner is expected.
