COUDERSPORT — Another game, another dominant offensive performance from the Coudersport Lady Falcons.
For the fourth straight contest — and the seventh time this year — the Falcons scored over 12 runs, this time punishing Johnsonburg pitchers with a 14-4 victory in six innings.
The Coudersport (7-3) quartet of Chelsey Streich, Kaylee VanWhy, Shaelyn Black and Tori Miller each went 2-for-3 in the game and combined for six RBI.
Black also threw a complete game in the circle, giving up just three hits and one earned run while striking out eight.
“Good win for us. Kind of needed this heading into tomorrow’s doubleheader with Cameron County,” Coudersport head coach Trevor Saulter said. “Needed this to get going with the weather on the field haven’t been able to practice much but we went out there and executed.”
Jburg starter Julie Peterson was pulled as part of an eight-run fourth inning for Coudersport with Jordan Bundy throwing the final 2.2 innings.
Bundy had all three hits for the Ramettes at the plate and added a solo home run.
This afternoon’s doubleheader between Coudersport (5-0 league) and Cameron County (4-2) complete the regular season Northern Allegheny League series between the two schools.
