MOUNT JEWETT — The Mount Jewett Seventh Day Adventist Church will sponsor the Newstart healthy lifestyle program with presentations weekly by Dr. Neil Nedley starting April 25.

The programs will start at 7 p.m. with Nedley addressing various components of the program. Food demonstrations will follow nightly with healthy vegetarian options. The series will run weekly on Thursdays.

The church is located on the corner of Anderson and Main streets in Mount Jewett. There is no charge for the program, and the general public is invited.

Newstart is the trademark name for a program initiated at Weimar Institute with campuses in Georgia, California and other states. Newstart is a physician monitored, scientifically researched lifestyle change program based on eight fundamental principles intended to help participants achieve optimum health. Nedley is president of the Weimar Center of Health and Education and is a full-time practicing physician in internal medicine with an emphasis on preventative medicine.
