The Bradford Era has announced two promotions in its newsroom.
Marcie Schellhammer has been named assistant managing editor, and Anthony Sambrotto has been named assistant sports editor.
Schellhammer has been with the Era since June of 2001. A native of Rixford, she is a daughter of Shirley Whiteman and the late Donald Whiteman Sr.
She is a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. She lives in Bradford.
Sambrotto has been with the Era since November 2017.
He is a resident of Allegany, N.Y., and is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in 2017 with a bachelor’s in journalism and mass communication. He is a son of Angela and Tony Sambrotto of Buffalo, N.Y.
