“Punxsy played hard and out-hustled us after the first couple minutes of the game. They made some good adjustments to breaking our press and except for the start of the game and a couple of runs that we had throughout the game our press did not seem to bother them,” said Aaron Straub, ECC coach. “Our transition game was not sharp this evening.  We also have some work to do pressuring the ball.”

Micah Kriebel posted 11 points and Carter Newcome added 10 to lead Punxsy’s offense.

“I did not think we did a good job of valuing the ball tonight. We were sloppy with our passes and gave up many deflections,” Straub added. “We need to be stronger and more protective of the ball.

“We will need to play well on Friday night. I am looking forward to that challenge.”
