Barnett had all three of her 3s in the second and third quarters. Garzel had a 4-point play in the second quarter and in the third quarter made a 3-point play after a basket and getting fouled.”

AUSTIN —  Shaelyn Black scored a game-high 27 points to lead Coudersport to a 61-16 victory over Austin in girls North Tier League basketball action Tuesday.

“I can’t say for certain that it was a career high for Shaelyn, but I know she’s capable of scoring that many points against anyone,” said Coudy first-year head coach Bob Tingley.

Backing Black were Sarah Chambers with 16 points and Rosalyn Page with 12.

“Chambers is playing a little out of position at point guard for us, but she gets our offense started leading our break and dishing off. She’s also shooting well. Rosalyn played very solid defense and rebounded well,” Tingley noted.

The Lady Falcons led 35-5 at halftime over the Lady Panthers and were well on the way to a key league matchup on Thursday when they host Otto-Eldred.
